What is LOST Ontario?

LOST Ontario is dedicated to preserving through photographs, places in Ontario, Canada that have been lost to urbanization or development, or are at risk to be lost soon.

Ontario is rapidly changing from a predominantly rural area as urban and suburban development pushes north, west and east from Toronto.

Much of what was, is now gone, unrecognizable under asphalt highways, big box stores, houses and condos.

LOST Ontario hopes to show people what things used to look like, in simpler, slower times. Progress moves so fast today that an area can be completely changed in weeks.
